We have home schooled for 12 years. We have used a LOT of different curriculum and methods! I love unit studies to allow me to include all of the different age/learning levels involved in the same topic. Charlotte Mason is my educational hero! I love her learning philosophies and methods. Here are some of the things that we have found work the best for this season of our homeschooling:

Hello! My name is Denice. Welcome to a small glimpse of my world! I am wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. I have 5 children ~ 3 brought to us naturally, 2 Supernaturally! (From Kazakhstan and Taiwan). We homeschool, love adventures, reading, sewing/quilting, traveling and seeing new places, cherish time with family and friends, strive to make my home comfortable and cozy for my family, and love to cook healthy (and yummy!) food for us all! I am constantly challenged to do things more creatively, naturally and frugally! I have a huge heart for the orphans (James 1:27) and hope that I can do more to make a difference. My most important "titles" are "Follower of Jesus" and "Daughter of the King"!! Because without Him, I could do none of the above!
I look at my life as a constant adventure, never truly knowing what lies around the next corner! We try to take it all in stride and thank the Lord for it all! At times it truly feels like we are on a "Whimsical Walk in the Woods"... which is never boring and always exciting!
So thank you for coming on a walk with us! Hopefully you will be encouraged, challenged and amused!
